Prophetic Law: An introductory summary of the various types of Law established in the Torah (A prequel to Understanding the Oral Torah of Adonai YHWH vs Post Exilic Oral Torah Study Guide) – Mizahi Ethiopian Jewish Int’l Rabbinical Council
Exodus 24:12 And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there, while I give you tablets of stone, and the Torah and the Command which I have written, to teach them.” Exo 24:13 And Mosheh arose with his assistant Yehoshua, and Mosheh went up to the mountain of Elohim.
תּוָֹרה
tôrāh, ֹתָּרה
tōrāh: A feminine noun meaning instruction, direction, law, Torah, the whole Law. This noun comes from the verb yārāh, which has, as one of its major meanings, to teach, to instruct. The noun means instruction in a general way from Elah; for example, Eliphaz uttered truth when he encouraged Job and his readers to be willing to receive instruction from Elah, the Almighty (Job_22:22). In Israel, a father and mother were sources of instruction for life (Proverbs_1:8; Proverbs_6:20); along with wise persons (Proverbs_13:14; Proverbs_28:4). In contrast, rebellious people were not willing to accept Elah’s instructions in any manner (Isaiah_30:8-9); the scribes handled the instructions of Yahwah deceitfully and falsely (Jeremiah_8:8). Various words are found in synonyms parallel with this term: It is paralleled by the sayings of the Holy One (Isaiah_5:24); the word of Yahwah (Isaiah_1:10); and the testimony or witness (Isaiah_8:20). It is used regularly to depict priestly instructions in general or as a whole. Yahwah rejected the priests of Israel for they had disregarded (lit., forgotten) the Law (Jeremiah_2:8; Hos_4:6). They had been charged to carry out and teach all the instructions of Yahwah (Deutoronomy_17:11).
The term takes on the meaning of law in certain settings, although it is still currently debated about how to translate the various words that describe the laws, ordinances, commands, decrees, and requirements of Yahwah. This word tôrāh is used as a summary term of various bodies of legal, cultic, or civil instructions. The word refers to the entire book of Deuteronomy and Moses’ exposition of the Torah found in it (Deutoromy_1:5), also known as the Mishneh HaTorah. By implication, the word here also refers to the laws given in Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. Numerous times this word refers to the whole Law of Moses, the Book of the Law of Moses, The Book of Moses(Jubilees), the Book of the Law of Elah, the Law of Yahwah, and the Law of Elah given at Sinai (in order of titles listed, 1Kings_2:3; Nehemiah_8:1; Joshua_24:26; Psalms_1:2; Nehemiah_10:28-29 [29-30]). The kings of Israel were held to the standard of the Law of Moses (1Kings_2:3; 2Kings_10:31; 2Kings_14:6; 2Kings_23:25). The word can also refer to a single law, for example, the law of the burnt offering (Leviticus_6:9 [2]; Leviticus_7:7; Nehemiah_12:44).
It is used of special laws for the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Exodus_13:9); the Passover (Exodus_12:49); of decisions by Moses (Exodus_18:16, Exodus_18:20); for the content of the Book of the Covenant (Exodus_24:12). The Law or Torah of Elah is pursued diligently by the psalmist; this word is found twenty-five times in Psalm 119 in parallel with various near synonyms. The word means the usual way, custom, or manner of Elah as David addressed his surprise to Yahwah about the way He had dealt with him (2Samuel_7:19).
ִמְצָוה
miṣwāh: A feminine noun meaning a commandment. It can apply to the edicts issued by a human being, most likely the king (1Kings_2:43; Esther_3:3; Proverbs_6:20; Isaiah_36:21; Jeremiah_35:18). It can also relate to a general corpus of human precepts (Isaiah_29:13); or a body of teachings (Proverbs_2:1; Proverbs_3:1). On the other hand, this expression can reference Elah’s commands. In the Torah, this is its only usage. It does not refer to human commandments. In the singular, it may distinguish a certain commandment (1Kings_13:21); yet it appears most frequently in the plural to designate the entire corpus of divine law and instruction (Genesis_26:5; Exodus_16:28; Deutoronomy_6:2; 1Kings_2:3). It is also important to note that, in the plural, this word often appears in synonymous parallelism with such words as ḥuqqîm ; mišpāṭîm ; ‛ēḏōṯ ; tôrôṯ .
ֹחק
Levitical-Priesthood Legislative Branch
ḥōqqim: A masculine noun meaning regulation, law, ordinance, decree, custom. Primarily, this word represents an expectation or mandate prescribed by decree or custom. It is used to speak of the general decrees of God (Jeremiah_5:22; Amos_2:4); the statutes of Elah given to Moses (Exodus_15:26; Numbers_30:16 [17]; Malaki_4:4 [3:22]); the lawful share deserved by virtue of status (Genesis_47:22; Leviticus_10:13-14); the declared boundaries or limits of something (Job_14:5; Job_26:10); the prevailing cultural norm (Judges_11:39); the binding legislation made by a ruler (Genesis_47:26); and that which must be observed by strict ritual (Exodus_12:24).
מְשָׁפּט
Shophatim-Beth Din Judicial Branch
mišpāṭ: A masculine noun meaning a judgment, a legal decision, a legal case, a claim, proper, rectitude. The word connotes several variations in meanings depending on the context. It is used to describe a legal decision or judgment rendered: it describes a legal decision given by Elah to be followed by the people (Isaiah_58:2; Zephaniah_2:3; Malaki_2:17). These decisions could come through the use of the Urim and Thummim (Numbers_27:21). The High Priest(Rabbi-Cohen) wore a pouch called the breastpiece of justice, containing the Urim and Thummim by which decisions were obtained from Yahwah (Exodus_28:30). Doing what was right and just in Yahwah’s eyes was far more important than presenting sacrifices to Him (Genesis_18:19; Proverbs_21:3, Proverbs_21:15). Elah was declared to be the Judge of the whole earth who rendered justice faithfully (Genesis_18:25; Isaiah_30:18). In the plural form, the word describes legal judgments, cases, examples, laws, and specifications.
The word describes the legal case or cause presented by someone. The Servant spoken of by Isaiah asked who brought his case of justice against him (Isaiah_50:8); Job brought his case to vindicate himself (Job_13:18; Job_23:4). The legal claim or control in a situation is also described by the word. Samuel warned the people of the civil and legal demands a king would place on them (1Samuel_8:9); Moses gave legislation to protect the rightful claim of daughters (Exodus_21:9). The Hebrew word also described the legal right to property (Jeremiah_32:8). Not surprisingly, the place where judgments were rendered was also described by this word; disputes were to be taken to the place of judgment (Deuteronomy_25:1). Solomon built a hall of justice where he served as judge (1Kings_7:7).
The word also describes plans or instructions: it describes the building plans for the Tabernacle (Exodus. 35-40); and the specifications for the Temple (1Kings_6:38); the instructions the angelic messenger gave to Samson’s parents about how he was to be brought up (Judges_13:12). In a more abstract sense, it depicts the manner of life a people followed, such as the Sidonians (Judges_18:7; 1Samuel_2:13).
The word means simple justice in some contexts, often in parallel with synonymous words, such as ḥōq or ṣeḏeq, meaning ordinance or righteousness. It describes justice as one thing Jerusalem was to be filled with along with righteousness (Isaiah_1:21). Justice and righteousness characterize Yahwah;s throne (Psalm_89:14 [15]); and these were coupled with love and faithfulness (cf. Psalm_101:1; Psalm_111:7). Executing or doing justice was the central goal that Yahweh had for His people (Jeremiah_7:5; Ezekiel_18:8), for that equaled righteousness (Ezekiel_18:9).
Book of Deuteronomy HaDabarim(The Word, i.e. Oral): Also known as the Mishneh HaTorah & Ze-Sefer HaTorah, thus the original Mishnah
Debarim-Oral Torah-
Deut 1:1 These are the words which Mosheh spoke to all Yisra’ĕl beyond the Yardĕn in the wilderness, in the desert plain opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, and Laḇan, and Ḥatsĕroth, and Di Zahaḇ, Deu 1:2 eleven days’ journey from Ḥorĕḇ by way of Mount Sĕʽir to Qaḏĕsh Barnĕa.
ָדָּבר
Prophetic
dāḇār: A masculine noun meaning word, speech, matter, oral. This frequent word has a wide range of meanings associated with it. It signified spoken/oral words or speech (Genesis_11:1; Isaiah_36:5; Jeremiah_51:64); a command or royal decree (Esther_1:12, Esther_1:19); a report or tidings (Exodus_33:4); advice (Judges_20:7); poetic writings of David (2Chronicles_29:30); business affairs (1Chronicles_26:32); a legal cause (Exodus_18:16); the custom or manner of activity (Esther_1:13); and something indefinite (thing, Genesis_22:16). Most important was the use of this word to convey divine communication. Often the word of Yahwah signified the revelation given to prophets (2Samuel_7:4; Jeremiah_25:3; Hoshea_1:1). Similarly, the Ten Commandments were literally called the Ten Words of Yahwah (Exodus_34:28; Deut_4:13).
Ze-Sefer HaTorah-
Deut 31:26 “Take this Book of the Torah, and you shall place it beside the ark of the covenant of יהוה your Elohim, and it shall be there as a witness against you,
Only two stone tablets/Words were found in the Ark of the Covenant later, considering the Torah was lost during the entire time of King David & King Solomon. Thus there could be no way the Talmudic Oral Torah claims could have continued or been present or even in existence during that time.
.
1Kings 8:9 There was naught in the ark, only the two tablets of stone which Mosheh put there at Ḥorĕḇ, where יהוה made a covenant with the children of Yisra’ĕl, when they came out of the land of Mitsrayim. “
Hilkiah Finds the Book of the Law
2Kings 22:8 And Ḥilqiyahu the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Torah in the House of יהוה.” And Ḥilqiyah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it. there at Ḥorĕḇ, where יהוה made a covenant with the children of Yisra’ĕl, when they came out of the land of Mitsrayim.
This is the actual Torah that Hilqiyahu found, that which would be of Debarim, as opposed to Genesis, Exodus & Numbers.. Keep in mind Debarim is actually a separate law, many times erroneously called the 2nd Law, when in fact it’s the oldest law being pre-exilic, while the other books of the Torah are post-exilic writings. Debarim is the basis for the Deuteronomic books of Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings & prophets such as Jeremiah & Isaiah understanding of the Torah, as well as the Essene understanding(along with Jubilees/Sefer HaMosheh), while books such as 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezekiel are based on the post-exilic Torah books.
Deut 31:24 And it came to be, when Mosheh had completed writing the Words of this Torah in a book, until their completion, Deu 31:25 that Mosheh commanded the Lĕwites, who bore the ark of the covenant of יהוה, saying, Deu 31:26 “Take this Book of the Torah, and you shall place it beside the ark of the covenant of יהוה your Elohim, and it shall be there as a witness against you.
Witness-
עד
‛ēḏ: A masculine noun meaning witness, testimony. It refers to someone who will be accepted to bear a true testimony in various situations for various reasons. It also refers to the testimony given, written or oral, such as a covenant (Genesis_31:44; Deuteronomy_31:19, Deuteronomy_31:21); or a symbol established to confirm a covenant (Genesis_31:48). The evidence itself may be called a witness (Exodus_22:13 [12]). Elah Himself serves as a witness (Genesis_31:50, Genesis_31:52; Joshua_22:27-28, Joshua_22:34; Job_16:19).
This would mean that this was the Oral Torah, that Moses had given, in the form of the book of Debarim(Deuteronomy), that was placed in the Ark. No one would have known of the Mishnah, Gemara, the basis of the Post-Biblical Talmud.
Also notice that it is written as The Words of “This Torah.(Zothe-Torah)”. That would signify or indicate that there are other writings of the Torah. This would make sense considering there was more than one socio-political culture of Judaism, such as Enochic Judaism, the oldest cultural evolution of the Hebrews, which eventually became Essene Judaism(Dead Sea Scrolls) that was established and lead by the Levitical Priests via the Moreh Tzadik(Anointed Chief Priest); Sapiential Judaism, which is the basis of cultural & wisdom teachings of Hebrew culture, & Zadokite Judaism, a Postexilic hybrid mix of Canaanite/Phoenician, Babylonian & Hebrew culture which eventually produced both Sadducean Judaism & Pharisaical Judaism, of whom forged a connection to Aaron, by way of Zadok(A Canaanite High Priest), which was a non-Levitical, Canaanite priesthood, established by King David & King Solomon & designed to rival the Levitical Priesthood(established directly by Yahwah Elah) . Rabbinical Judaism evolved out of Zadokite Judaism, while Ethiopian & Mizrahi Judaism evolved out of Enochic(Essene) Judaism.
The book of Moses(Jubilees) actually confirms the understanding that there was more than one type of Torah.
Intro Book of Jubilees(Ethiopian Jewish Book of Moses) Chapter 1: This is the history of the division of the days of the law and of the testimony, of the events of the years, of their (year) weeks, of their Jubilees throughout all the years of the world, as Yahwah spake to Moses on Mount Sinai when he went up to receive the tables of the law and of the commandment, according to the voice of Elah as he said unto him, ‘Go up to the top of the Mount.’
Chapter 11 :1 *And it came to pass in the first year of the exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt, in the third month, on the sixteenth day of the month, that Elah spake to Moses, saying: ‘Come up to Me on the Mount, and I will give thee two tables of stone of the law(Torah) and of the commandment(Mitzwah), which I have written, that thou mayst teach them.”
2 And Moses went up into the mount of Elah, and the glory of Yahwah abode on Mount Sinai, and a cloud overshadowed it six days. 3 And He called to Moses on the seventh day out of the midst of the cloud, and the appearance of the glory of Yahwah was like a flaming fire on the top of the mount. 4 And Moses was on the Mount forty days and forty nights, and Elah taught him the earlier and the later history of the division of all the days of the law and of the testimony(witness).
Chapter 6:21 For it is the feast of weeks and the feast of first fruits: this feast is twofold and of a double nature: according to what is written and engraven concerning it, celebrate it. 22 For I have written in the book of the first law, in that which I have written for thee, that thou shouldst celebrate it in its season, one day in the year, and I explained to thee its sacrifices that the children of Israel should remember and should celebrate it throughout their generations in this month, one day in every year.
Testimony(witness)-
ְתּעוָּדה
Cultural Traditions
te‛ûḏāh: A noun meaning a testimony, a custom. This noun is used in Isaiah_8:16, Isaiah_8:20 in combination with the word law(Torah). In these verses, the testimony was the law of Elahs people that instructed them on how to live. In Ruth_4:7, this word refers to the common custom of sealing a legal agreement.
For Enochic Judaism this includes Debarim, Jubilees, Testament of the 12 Patriarch, Dead Sea Scrolls, Apocryphal writings & other books in the Ethiopian Bible that is also commonly included in the Old Testament Pseudepigrapha. For Zadokite Judaism, it came to be associated with the Mishna, Gemara which became the basis of two versions of the Talmud, the Palestinian Talmud(1st Talmud) and the Babylonian Talmud(2nd Talmud).
This also is associated with Hebrew “culture” and the true essence of Judaism as “Cultural Judaism”, as opposed to being a religion(Orthodox, Conservative, Reformed). Religious Judaism is a form of revisionism and restricts books to only those that are associated with the particular religious sect, while cultural Judaism recognizes the differences between the Socio-political Spiritual Hebrew ideologies & simply sees’s all the variations as being valuable diversity of Jewish evolution. Thus none of the writings and instructions are restricted. All customs are considered from all Jewish ideologies for their value on empowering and improving Hebrew life and lifestyle, as we evolved in our Covenant relationship with Yahwah Elah. The book of Isaiah mentions this Torah & Testimony as well:
Isaiah 8:20 “To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no light.”
Witness/Testimony in Postexilic book of Exodus
Exodus 31:18 “And when He had ended speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Mosheh two tablets of the Witness, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.”
Here the Hebrew word for witness is:-
ֵעדוּת
‛ēḏûṯ: A feminine noun meaning testimony, precept, warning sign. It is always used in connection with the testimony of Elah and most frequently in association with the Tabernacle (Exodus_38:21; Numbers_1:50, Numbers_1:53). The stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments are identified as Elah’s testimony (Exodus_25:16; Exodus_31:18; Exodus_32:15). Because the Ten Commandments represent the covenant that Elah made with Israel (see Exodus_34:27-28), they are also called the “tables of the covenant” (see Deut_9:9; Deut_11:15); and they were preeminent in the Tabernacle. As a result, the Tabernacle is sometimes called the Tabernacle of the testimony (Exodus_38:21; Numbers_1:50, Numbers_1:53); and the ark is sometimes called the ark of the testimony (Exodus_25:22; Exodus_26:33-34; Exodus_30:6, Exodus_30:26). This term is also used alone to represent the ark (Exodus_16:34; Exodus_27:21; Exodus_30:36; Leviticus_16:13). In time, this term came to stand for the laws or precepts that Elah had delivered to humanity (Psalm_19:7 [8]; Psalm_119:88; Psalm_122:4).
Book of Moses (Jubilees) itself a Testimony; Testimony/Witness also refers to the Prophetic Leadership of Israel.
Jubilees 1:7 7 And do thou write for thyself all these words which I declare unto thee this day, for I know their rebellion and their stiff neck, before I bring them into the land of which I sware to their fathers, to Abraham and to Isaac and to Jacob, saying: ‘Unto your seed will I give a land flowing with milk and honey. 8 And they will eat and be satisfied, and they will turn to strange gods, to (gods) which cannot deliver them from aught of their tribulation: and this witness shall be heard for a witness against them. 9 For they will forget all My commandments, (even) all that I command them, and they will walk after the Gentiles, and after their Uncleanness, and after their shame,
12 And I will send witnesses unto them, that I may witness against them, but they will not hear, and will slay the witnesses also, and they will persecute those who seek the law, and they will abrogate and change everything so as to work evil before My eyes. 13 And I will hide My face from them, and I will deliver them into the hand of the Gentiles for captivity, and for a prey, and for devouring, and I will remove them from the midst of the land, and I will scatter them amongst the Gentiles. 14 And they will forget all My law and all My commandments and all My judgments, and will go astray as to new moons, and sabbaths, and festivals, and jubilees, and ordinances.
In context, Isaiah 8:20 regarding the Law & the Testimony/Witness, it should be understood that this was referring to the “Law & the Prophets or prophetic knowledge. Prophets & Prophetic priests were highly trained & skilled in the knowledge of the Torah, and being anointed by the Ruwah HaQodesh, they were empowered to “Speak & Communicate” the very will, mind & voice of Elah & the knowledge of the Torah in an evidence-based manner. In essence, they were able to establish the Spirit of the Torah and make the Torah become alive in people’s lives. This is the true essence of “Oral Torah”, because one was to seek, listen to & obey the voice of Elah via his prophetic leaders, especially prophetic levitical priests.
The Zadokites, especially via the Pharisees & Rabbinical Judaism had ulterior motives to remove the “voice of Elah” & the organic Torah from the equation altogether, so that they could replace the culture of Judaism by purging the Levitical priesthood & the succession of prophets and school of prophets from their brand of Judaism altogether so that there would be no one to prophetically judge & challenge their behaviors, their manipulations of the Torah & the inventions of their hearts that would later occur, making them just as bad a Christians, considering both disobey, distort and disregard the Torah.
This is why Ashkenazi Rabbinical Judaism erroneously claim the line of succession via an altered history, where The Law was given by Moses, then Moses giving it to Joshua, Joshua to the Elders & the Elders giving it to the Prophets, and then the prophets somehow become deactivated from communicating the prophetic word of Elah & gives leadership authority to the Great men of the Assembly(later Rabbi’s).
Pirke Avot:1, “Moses received the Torah from Sinai and gave it over to Joshua. Joshua gave it over to the Elders, the Elders to the Prophets, and the Prophets gave it over to the Men of the Great Assembly. They [the Men of the Great Assembly] would always say these three things: Be cautious in judgement. Establish many pupils. And make a safety fence around the Torah”
Yet the Torah makes it clear that Yahwah established his Covenant with Levy to be both the Keepers & teacher of the Torah & that the people of Israel are to seek them/us for instruction and direction, not Joshua, nor the Elders or the great men of the Assembly(later Rabbis)..
Jubilees 30: 18 And the seed of Levi was chosen for the priesthood, and to be Levites, that they might minister before Yahwah, as we, continually, and that Levi and his sons may be blessed for ever; for he was zealous to execute righteousness and judgment and vengeance on all those who arose against Israel. 19 And so they inscribe as a testimony in his favour on the heavenly tablets blessing and righteousness before the Elohim of all: 20 And we remember the righteousness which the man fulfilled during his life, at all periods of the year; until a thousand generations they will record it, and it will come to him and to his descendants after him, and he has been recorded on the heavenly tablets as a friend and a righteous man.
Exodus 32:27 And he said to them, “Thus said יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl: ‘Each one put his sword on his side, pass over to and fro from gate to gate in the camp, and each one slay his brother, and each one his friend, and each one his relative.’ ” Exodus 32:28 And the sons of Lĕwi did according to the word of Mosheh. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day. Exo 32:29 And Mosheh said, “You are ordained for יהוה today – since each one has been against his son and his brother – so as to bring upon you a blessing today.”
Levitical Halachic & Beth Din Rulings & Oral Torah according to Yahwahs Way.
Deuteronomy 17:8 “When any matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, or between stroke and stroke – matters of strife within your gates – then you shall rise and go up to the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses,
Deut 17:9 and shall come to the priests, the Lĕwites, and to the judge who is in those days, and shall inquire. And they shall declare to you the word of right-ruling, Deu 17:10 and you shall do according to the word which they declare to you from that place which יהוה chooses. And you shall guard to do according to all that they instruct you. Deu 17:11 “Do according to the Torah in which they teach you, according to the right-ruling which they say to you. You do not turn to the right or to the left from the word which they declare to you.
Torah Punishment for showing Contempt towards Levitical Priest and Judges
Deu 17:12 “And the man who acts arrogantly, so as not to listen to the priest who stands to serve there before יהוה your Elohim, or to the judge, that man shall die. So you shall purge the evil from Yisra’ĕl. Deu 17:13 “And let all the people hear and fear, and no longer do arrogantly.
The Covenant with Levy & Levitical Priest being the “Messenger of the Covenant”
Malaki 2:4 “And you shall know that I have sent this command to you, as being My covenant with Lĕwi,” said יהוה of hosts. Mal 2:5 “My covenant with him was life and peace, and I gave them to him, to fear. And he feared Me, and stood in awe of My Name.
Mal 2:6 “The Torah of truth1 was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and straightness, and turned many away from crookedness. 2:7 “For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and they seek the Torah from his mouth, for he is the MESSENGER of יהוה of hosts.
As we see, the Cohen-Priest is the Messenger of Yahwah. Thus in the following verses, it becomes self-explanatory who is spoken of as the Messenger being sent by Elah. This particular priest would also be able to purify the sons of Lewy & raise them up to function in the proper level of ministry according to their original purpose and design.Mal 3:1 “See, I am sending My MESSENGER, and he shall prepare The Way before Me. Then suddenly the Master you are seeking comes to His Hĕḵal, even the Messenger2 of the covenant, in whom you delight. See, He is coming,” said יהוה of hosts.
Mal 3:2 “And who is able to bear the day of His coming, and who is able to stand when He appears? For He is like the fire of a refiner, and like the soap of a launderer.
Mal 3:3 “And He shall sit as a refiner and a cleanser of silver. And He shall cleanse the sons of Lĕwi, and refine them as gold and silver, and they shall belong to יהוה, bringing near an offering in righteousness.
It is very explicitly clear in the Hebrew scriptures who has the Halachic authority & always had the Halachic authority. The Levitical Priest, as the Legislators of Israel, Shophetim who administrate & right rule the laws established by the priesthood, & the Prophets/Prophetic ministers who speak the Oral Torah(Debar) & voice of Elah(Spirit of the Torah) to ensure the people remain aligned with the Torah of Elah. In fact, Elah made it clear he’d raise up prophets just like Moses.
Deu 18:17 “And יהוה said to me, ‘What they have spoken is good. Deu 18:18 ‘I shall raise up for them a Prophet like you out of the midst of their brothers. And I shall put My Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.
Keep in mind that Moses is a Levitical Priest. Thus the prophet or line of prophets that would be raised up like him, would also be “Levitical Priests.” This is why Jubilees, Enoch, Testament of the 12 Patriarchs, Zachariah & the Dead Sea Scrolls make it plain & clear that the True Atoning Messiah that is to come would be a Levitical Priest, not one from Judah as Judah has no atoning ability(Which is also why Jesus/Yeshua is not the Messiah nor an Atonement factor, which is associated with abominable human sacrifice). This is why Most Prophets such as Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekial, Hoshea, Elijah, etc, were all Priests. This is the true origins of the concept of “Oral Torah”, in addition to jurisprudence that is documented from the rulings, laws, oral legal arguments & teachings from the Leviticus priests and Judges
Any other leaderships purporting to be the supreme leaders & halachic authority, such as the Rabbis or Moreh, are “man-made” because it’s not established in the Torah by Elah. That does not mean the office of a Rabbi or Moreh is not a legitimate function in Judaism, it is just not what Rabbinics have recreated it to be. First of all, a Chief leader or one appointed & delegated to be the head, in any capacity of work, as an official or ministry capacity, within the nation of Israel, would have the title of Rabi, once appointed to that position. For example, a Chief Prophet of the school of Prophets would be called a Rab-Nabi, The Chief Priest aka High Priest is called a Rabi-Kohen in Aramaic(as opposed to Kohen HaGadol in Biblical Chaldean). If one was appointed to be a chief architect of a building contract/project or business, they’d be a Rabi. Within the framework of a Nation, Community, or Network of Jewish communities and ministries, the ministry office of the Rabbi would also be a helps ministry under the authority of a Levitical priest/priesthood, where certain powers, authority, and responsibility are delegated to them, such as being the “mayor of a Jewish community/Kibbutz(which is typically their function today), alongside the Legislative Priesthood and Judicial system of Shophetim(Judges/Beth Din). The Chief Justice of the Bith Din would be a Rabi Shaphat(or Av’Beth Din/Rosh Beth Din) The head of a Yeshiva or Academic institution would be a Rabi-Moreh. The list goes on for this “Helps Ministry”, a secondary ministry, under the rule and authority of the primary governing leadership that Elah established in the Torah to lead and guide Israel.
Furthermore, the Elders(Zakenim) are erroneously given an authority never granted to them as they basically function as a House of Representatives of their respective tribes & districts under the authority of the Levitical Priesthood(Senate). Nowhere does it say that this authority would end? In fact, it says it’s forever. Thus, not only are Levitical Priests the legitimate leaders of Israel & Judaism today but so are Prophets. Rabbinical Judaism has a spiritual death as a branch of Judaism for a very very long time because they are void of the voice of Elah, They do not have Levitical priests to give them a true foundation in the Torah & many Ashkenazi Rabbinical Jews are not very literate in the Torah(They only know the Talmud & what their Rabbis tell them even if it’s blatantly wrong or contradicts Torah law), nor the Spirit of the Torah, as most either are unaware of the Ruwah HaQodesh or ignorantly reject the Ruwah HaQodesh under the false notion that belief in Chockimah is something Christian which is far from the truth. This is detrimental to Jewish life & spiritual empowerment, as it prevents Jews from connecting to & taking on the mind of Elah so that they can evolve into their original design.
Many Rabbinical Jews act towards the Torah & Essene sacred Jewish writing literally verbatim as Christians, using post-biblical books that contradict and change the customs to fit their agenda. Rabbinics and Christians are parallels in what it looks like to stray from the Eternal Torah Covenant & alter the words of Elah.
Jeremiah 8:6 “I have listened and heard – they do not speak right. No man has repented of his evil, saying, ‘What have I done?’ They all turned to their own course, like a horse rushing into battle. Jer 8:7 “Even a stork in the heavens knows her appointed times. And a turtledove, and a swallow, and a thrush observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the right-ruling of יהוה.
Jer 8:8 “How do you say, ‘We are wise, and the Torah of יהוה is with us’? But look, the false pen of the scribe has worked falsehood. Jer 8:9 “The wise shall be put to shame, they shall be broken down and caught. See, they have rejected the Word of יהוה, so what wisdom do they have?
Thus we understand now that Pirke Avot, as well as many Halachic traditions of Rabbinical Judaism, are in gross error & contradiction to the established Torah principles, especially regarding the succession of Leadership from Moses, and without prophetic Jewish leadership, there is no moral or righteous checks and balances to communicate the Word(oral) of Elah to Jews, especially the Zionist, because they are extremely arrogant & void of the proper character traits, that one, who is filled with the Ruwah HaQodesh, is to manifest, thus they are completely vulnerable to satanic deception & destructive behaviors that bring about their demise and stunts them from being a light unto the world, as the Mizrahi-Ethiopian Jews are being & doing in honor and faithfulness to Yahwah and his Torah. Messianic Judaism style of worship is very much close to the original Essene Jewish style of worship, and they have the right idea of the Ruwah HaQodesh, however, they stumble and fall short in the aspects of their belief in Yeshua ben Yoseph being the Messiah, Son of Yahwah or the blasphemous belief that he is Yahwah. The latter results in the invocation of the Ruwah Dybuk(Holy Ghost) rather than the Ruwah HaQodesh.
This is why Homosexuals, Lesbians, LGBTQ are able to parade through the streets of Israel today, Rabbis are engaging in blatant abominable acts by sucking the blood from the penis of newly circumcised Jewish babies, giving halachic rulings that blatantly contradict Halacha commands in the books of Jubilees, and basically circumventing the Torah at any chance they get to their own deception and destruction, whether intentionally or not.
Jer 8:9 “The wise shall be put to shame, they shall be broken down and caught. See, they have rejected the Word of יהוה, so what wisdom do they have?
Ezekiel 11:12 “And you shall know that I am יהוה, for you have not walked in My laws nor executed My right-rulings, but have done according to the rulings of the gentiles which are all around you.”
NOTE (Genesis 10:2 The sons of Yepheth: Gomer, and Maḡoḡ, and Maḏai, and Yawan, and Tuḇal, and Mesheḵ, and Tiras. Gen 10:3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Toḡarmah………. Gen 10:5 From these the coastland peoples of the gentiles were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their clans, into their nations.” Ashkenaz is of the gentiles, not Shem, thus the Ashkenazi Rabbinical Jews, rule according to ways of the gentiles not Elah nor true Torah ).
The condemnation of non-prophetically inspired Halacha & man-made traditions.I wanted to point out the fact that the 1st quote scripture of Exodus:
Exodus 24:12 And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there, while I give you tablets of stone, and the Torah and the Command which I have written, to teach them.” Exo 24:13 And Mosheh arose with his assistant Yehoshua, and Mosheh went up to the mountain of Elohim.
Notice between Exodus, Debarim(Deuteronomy), and Jubilees, there are variations of phrases. “Torah and Commandments”, “The Torah and the Testimony” & “the tablets of the Witness” & “The Book of the Torah”.
Rabbinical Jews try to point to the above verse as the basis of claiming the underlying Oral Torah that eventually became the Mishna and Gemara to create the Talmud, as coming from Elah on Mt Sinai when Moses received the Torah. Notice they chose the Torah & command(Mitzvah), rather than Torah and Testimony. Why is that? Because it was their intent to abolish prophetic voices(the true essence of Torah & Testimony) and their intent was to usurp and replace the Ministry of the Jewish Prophet & priesthood altogether.
Keep in mind also that the book of Exodus is a post-exilic book, that was compiled around the same time the creation of the Pre-Talmudic Oral Torah had begun. It is a different writing of the Laws than the Book of the Torah, also known as Debarim(Deuteronomy), a pre-exilic book. and like the Book of Moses(Jubilees), is older than Genesis, Exodus & Numbers. The prophets such as Jeremiah and Isaiah would be alive during this man-made tradition development. This is why Isaiah condemned the act:
Isaiah 29:13 And יהוה says, “Because this people has drawn near with its mouth, and with its lips they have esteemed Me, and it has kept its heart far from Me, and their fear of Me has become a Command(Mitzvah) of men that is taught”
Isaiah 29:14 “Therefore, see, I am again doing a marvellous work among this people, a marvellous work and a wonder. And the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their clever men shall be hidden.”
This is why the Apocryphal books, Dead Sea Scrolls, and other Enochic prophetic Oral traditions became the arch-rivals to the Oral Traditions that would later be codified by the Rabbinics. In fact, Satan was able to fill in the gap left by Rabbinics who rejected Prophetic Jewish Leaders, by establishing a counterfeit prophetic tradition called the Kabbalah, which is basically rooted in witchcraft, sorcery, and everything the Torah and Prophets forbid. These would separate the Levitical & Prophetic Leaders of Israel & their followers from the Man-made Leaders & traditions of men and their followers.
In the 1st Century is was the Essenes Jews(Ethnic Jews by birth aka Enochians) vs The P’rushim-Pharisees(some Ethnic Jews & levitical priests but mostly Edomites) & Sadducees(Canaanites mixed with some Israelites). It boiled down to Enochic Judaism, the most ancient form of Judaism that was actually founded by Enoch & completed by Moses vs Zadokite Judaism(Traditions originating from Zadok, Canaanite/Jebusite traditions and inherited by Sadducees(later Karaites) and factions of the Pharisees and later the Rabbinics)- See- The Way! the Prophetic Messianic Voice to the Path of the Edenic Kingdom Redemption by Rabbi Shalomim Y. So we can easily see that, yes, Elah did in fact give our people Oral Torah. But that Oral Torah is derived from the Book of Debarim & Jubilees as well as the Prophets/Prophetic Priests who are ordained by Yahwah to speak his words to the people and cause them to hear Elahs Voice, perpetually in every generation, in order to properly walk in the Torah. Furthermore, Yahwah has given all faithful Jews and ingrafted gentiles the ability to tap into & obtain the Ruwah HaQodesh, in order to connect to the mind of Elah, so that we can all walk properly in the Torah and fulfill the Spirit of the Torah, and thus the Bat-Kol or still small voice within us, that leads us and guides us daily, is the ultimate Oral Torah & gift that Elah has given to Israel and mankind. There are no Oral Teachings greater than being able to hear it from the mouth of Elah himself either within us or via his Anointed Levitical Priests & Prophets/prophetic ministers.
Numbers 11:25 And יהוה came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders. And it came to be, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, but did not continue.
Num 11:26 However, two men had remained in the camp. The name of one was Eldaḏ, and the name of the other Mĕyḏaḏ. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but did not go out to the Tent. And they prophesied in the camp. Num 11:27 And a young man ran and informed Mosheh, and said, “Eldaḏ and Mĕyḏaḏ are prophesying in the camp.”
Num 11:28 And Yehoshua son of Nun, Mosheh’s assistant from his youth, answered and said, “Mosheh my master, forbid them!” Num 11:29 Then Mosheh said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? Oh, that all the people of יהוה were prophetic, that יהוה would put His Spirit upon them!”
Ezekiel 11:19 “And I shall give them one heart, and put a new Spirit within you. And I shall take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,
Eze 11:20 so that they walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings, and shall do them. And they shall be My people and I shall be their Elohim.
Eze 11:21 “But to those whose hearts walk after the heart of their disgusting matters and their abominations, I shall recompense their deeds on their own heads,” declares the Master יהוה.
Notice the specific precept & pattern. Yahwah gives us a renewed mind, and then fills us with the Ruwah HaQodesh so that we can then walk in the Laws and Right rulings. Thus one cannot fulfill the Torah & walk within it until they have received the Ruwah HaQodesh. How do we obtain the Ruwah HaQodesh within us? Yahwah takes the spirit that is upon his anointed leader(s) who stand to minister before him and places it upon the people. That means one must follow the leadership that Elah has appointed to be followed in each generation, as defined by the Torah laws. – Click here to study the Science of the Ruwah Qodesh 8 Hour Series
Jubilees 1: 22 And Yahwah said unto Moses: ‘I know their contrariness and their thoughts and their stiffneckedness, and they will not be obedient till they confess their own sin and the sin of their fathers. 23 And after this they will turn to Me in all uprightness and with all (their) heart and with all (their) soul, and I will circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart of their seed, and I will create for them The Holy Spirit, and I will cleanse them so that they shall not turn away from Me from that day unto eternity. 24 And their souls will cleave to Me and to all My commandments, and they will fulfil My commandments, and I will be their Father and they shall be My children. 25 And they all shall be called children of the living Elohim, and every angel and every spirit shall know, yea, they shall know that these are My children, and that I am their Father in uprightness and righteousness, and that I love them”
So we clearly see that there is a significant difference between the Oral Torah of Elah and the Oral Torah of Rabbinical Judaism. Yet still, Talmudic teachings are a major contribution to our great Hebrew legacy and history. The Talmud, when balanced with Jewish prophetic traditions, can help give structure, guidance, and understanding to our peoples. Ultimate we should respect all of the traditions, writings, and halachic precedents that come forth from the various branches of Judaism. We simply must allow the Ruwah HaQodesh to guide us in proper wisdom so that we are able to rightly apply the traditions of our forefathers into our Jewish lives in order to live empowered & live up to the original design that Elah intended for us. The voice of Elah and the office of the priest and prophet is what gives us the checks and balances to apply the Word effectively in our daily individual and community lives.
Let all who have an ear, hear the prophetic Levitical message of Adonai Yahwah Elohim.
