Faith-Based & Evidence  Based Medicine of the 21st Century

 

Educational Requirements for Certification or Licensure:
Please note for each Licensed level, the applicants specialty and expertise will be listed along with the Pastoral License, Registration or commission(i.e. Licensed Pastoral Therapist with a Focus in  Therapeutic Massage; Commission Pastoral Consultant, specialty Natural Health Consultant; Integrative Pastoral Medicine Doctor, specialty Chinese Medicine etc.. ). All Licensees are required to adhere to the Integrative Pastoral Medicine Pharmacology Certification Level Requirements( See below in right column for information) & official code of Ethics & regulations.

Board Certifications are automatically issued the first year along with Licensure and is included in 1st years Registration fees. Board Certification Fee's there-after are a separate fee from licensure and must be paid annually on due dates in order to remain valid and active.

Licensed 

Integrative Pastoral Medicine Physicien (or Doctor of Integrative Pastoral Medicine) (MD.P/PMD/P-MD®, P-MD(Ayur)/P-MD(AM)®, P.MD(TCM)®, I-MD.P/IMD-P®, I-DC(P)/DC-P®,      I-DN(P)/DN-P®, I-DO(P)/DO-P®, P.MD/HMD(P)®, O.M.D(P)®, N-MD(P)/NMD.P®, D-NM(P)®,  - This Licensure & Board certification level is the Kingdom equivalent to Western & Eastern medicine "Scientific & Evidence based" Clinically Trained Healthcare Professionals(MDs, NMDs, OMDs). Candidates are certified to be quality, cutting edge, well prepared, educated and clinically effective in providing Integrative Family Life Care® & Integrative Pastoral Healthcare Specialty Services.  They must be Graduates of a College or Institution, foreign or domestic, that is legally registered in the State or Country of origin & is authorized to issue Academic or Technical Degrees & Diplomas & operates within the International Healthcare Community Network according to accepted standards or those who have completed the Clinical Apprenticeship Program through the Cushite Hebrew Yeshiva & Edenic Light Humanitarian Institute for Integrative, Pastoral & Natural Medicine or other approved clinical apprenticeship program under direct training of qualified Licensed/Board Certified Healthcare professionals that are competent to teach and impart the knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty the student is aspiring to achieve.

Must have completed basic under graduate education courses in English, Communications, Humanities, College Mathematics, pre-med clinical courses or approved undergraduate Health Sciences Courses, Diplomas or Certifications.

Additional Post Graduate or 4-5 year foreign Graduate Education(i.e. those who have taken 4-5 Year Bachelors of Science Degree in Naturopathic Medicine & Surgery or Yoga, Unani, Ayurvedic Medicine or equivalent in countries such as India, Pakistan etc) which includes 2-3 years of basic medical sciences and 2-3 year of Clinical Medical Education & cliical rotations as follows:

"Mandatory" minimum of 4000(Doctorate) or 4500(Physicien*) hours/4-6 years total Graduate & Post Graduate Studies In Integrated Medical/Health studies to include:

 

 *2-3 years(1000 Hours) of Advanced Medical Sciences(Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry w/labs, Naturopathic Physical medicine, Microbiology & Parasitology, Embryology, Pharmacology, Psychology, Nuero-science,Medical Lab etc..), Pathophysiology;

*200 Hours of Public Health/Social Medicine;

*2000 Hours in  Naturopathic-Integrative Medicine Theory & Clinical Sciences( i.e. Homotoxiclology, Hebrew Midwivery/Maternity or Natural-Child Birth, Clinical Homeopathic Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Chinese/ Oriental Medicine, Integrative Medicine etc), Behavioral Sciences(Naturopathic Psychiatry, Pastoral Psychotherapy or Psychotherapy or equivelant), Clinical Diagnosis & Assessments, Pastoral Care;

*1000 hours Clinical  apprenticeship & Externship.

 

*First Aid and CPR Certifications should also be current.

 

 For Naturopathic Physicians( or Ayurvedic, Oriental Medicine, Integrative Medicine or Homeopathic Medicine Physicians) Primary Care Education or Medical Specialty Equivelant requirements: Residency/Clinical Rotations acquired through approved Clinic, Hospital, Missionary or Humanitarian Medical Mission or Apprenticeship during the duration of the training program, having chosen & trained under either of the Scientific Paths of Naturopathic, Ayurvedic or Oriental Medicine( i.e. TCM, Unani, Siddha or Islamic Medicine) tracts covering:Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiology,  Hematology & Oncology, Minor Surgery for Missionary Medicine, Tropical or Rural Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology-Maternity, Geriatrics & Assessment of Basic, Extended, Treatment Skills Comprehension 

Allopathic Doctors(MD's, DO's, MBBS, Surgeons) must complete an additional 1000 Hours of Integrative and/or Natural Medicine Sciences/Clinicals (including 100 hours of pastoral medicine/Pastoral Care) from a legitimate evidence based Institution to apply for licensure.

Must Pass the 4 part IPMLEX Examination. Any Deficiencies can be met by enrolling into Distant Learning Apprenticeship program to meet eligibility requirements. No More than 25% of course work can be done by correspondence/online(for Doctorate & Physician Level Licensees). Distant Learning Apprenticeship is not the same as Correspondence or online training. No Clinical courses can be taken by correspondence or online. If you have a Doctorate Degree and all coursework is through correspondence/online training then please refer below to other Licensure options.

Two tier: 

Pastoral Medical Doctorate Level I-Those who have Doctorate Level Certifications in Specialties such as Napraphathy, Chiropratic, Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, Psychothrapy ect, will obtain a Doctorate in Pastoral Medicine as a Specialty.

 Pastoral Medical Physicien Level II- This is reserved for candidates whose concentration is in evidence based  Naturopathic Medicine, Western Allopathic Medical Doctors with 1000 Hours of additional Natural Medicine Training(or Integrative Medical Doctors), Oriental Medicine(Chinese, Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha, Islamic, Eastern Talmudic) or Spagyric-Homeopathic Medicine with a strong emphasis and focus in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Primary Care(Integrative Family Life Care®) with equivelent health sciences education as a Western trained Allopathic MD with Residency requirements met etc. or any other Concentration that focuses on Primary Care/Internal Medicine. Those who become Licensed Integrative Pastoral Medicine Physiciens are Eligible for Integrative Family Life Care Licensure/Certification® (Faith based & Evidence based Equivalent to Primary Healthcare or Family Medicine).  Note: Whiile Lic Acupuncturists is a form of oriental medicines, this profession is considered  a Specialty as opposed to Oriental Medical Doctors(OMD-P) which is  a Primary Care profession in regards to licensure & definition.

Integrative Pastoral Medicine Doctors may obtain additional Training and Specialties such as IFLC/Primary Care.

Registered Doctor of Integrative Pastoral Health(IHD-P): This registration &  certification level is the Kingdom equivalent to those who hold Doctorate level degrees in Traditional and/or Indigenous Natural health(i.e Naturopathy, homeopathy, african holistic health etc as opposed to Naturopathic or Homeopathic Medical Sciences etc) or clinical Nutrition with a stronger focus on Pastoral Care or Humanitarian Medicine than Primary Care, Evidence and Clinical based healthcare, or a combined education but with less skills in evidence based training at the Physician/Doctor Level, and more indigenous, traditional health.. Candidate must have 4000 Hours of Training in combined natural health therapies and Pastoral Medicine modules and possess a Doctore Degree or Doctorate Certification. Must have undergraduate basic course work in Anatomy, Phyiology and Biochemistry. Coursework can include traditional naturopathy, homeopathy, iridology, aromatherapy, massage, religion etc....Must also have at least 500 hours of Clinical Experience/education under a qualified licensed Physican or Therapist...Must have at least a Bachelors Level Natural Health Sciences, Mental Health Sciences or equivelent, and Masters and Doctorate level Education in Natural Health sciences, mental health sciences or equivelant. Must also Pass the required IPMLEX Exam

Note: Those who obtain Doctorate level natural health degrees with no undergraduate related degree or course-work will not qualify for this Registration...(i.e. Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Technology, Architecture, Computers or any non medical field who then obtain Doctorate in Naturopathy or Nutrition does not meet the 4000 clock hours)...Such doctorate degrees will quality only for consultant or educator level registrations, depending on courses taken.... Education obtained from illegal institutions that are not properly registered or authorized to function or issue Diplomas, Degrees or Certificates in the State, Country or territory of residence will not be accepted..NO EXCEPTIONS!! That includes Institutions shut down for illegal operations..


Specialty: Licensure/Registrations will also include a Board Certification in the specialty practice of the applicant such as, Board Certified in Naturopathic Medicine(or Naturopathic Physicien), Homeopathic Medicine(or Physicien), Integrative Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine(or Physicien), Oriental Medicine, Eastern Medicine, Naturopathic Psychiatry etc included in first years registration fee's.... This also applies to Registered and Commissioned Practitioners

Up to 120 Day Provisional Restricted Licensure may be issued to Pastoral Medicine Practitioners at the Therapist and Doctorate level who have not fulfilled all of the Pastoral Care Modules of the Pastoral Medical Profession or who are deficient in 15 credit hours  or less of course work, provided they agree to enroll in deficient course work within the Provisional timeframe to meet the requirements of Pastoral Care, faith based courses. If course work is not completed within time-frame allowed, License will become expired and invalidated.

 

Licensed Doctor of Missionary Naturopathic Medicine or Doctor of Humanitarian Naturopathic Medicine  Lic. ND-M, NMD-M, DMN-M or ND-H, NMD-H, DHN-M-Doctors, Physicians(MD, NMD,  I-MD, EMD, PMD, OMD, DO, DN, DC etc), Nurses & Midwives with Doctorate Level Training in Naturopathic, Eastern, Oriental, Homeopathic, Homotoxicology or Integrative Medicine with at least 1 year of training in Humanitarian, Disaster relief, Rural or Tropical Medicine, who work in a Humanitarian, Community Health or Not for profit Capacity for impoverished or low income families, disaster areas or emergency medicine. Must have all relevant CPR/First Aid Certifications up to date.


Licensed Integrative Pastoral Medicine Physicien Assistant(Assistant Doctor of Pastoral Medicine or Pastoral Physician Assistant- This Naturopathic Physician Assistant equivelant Licensure is for those who have completed a Naturopathic Physician Assistant Training Program or an Approved 4-5 Year Bachelors Degree in Naturopathic Physician Assistant or Secular Allopathic Physician Assistant who has also taken up 700 Hours of a combination of Natural Health and Pastoral Care. (Note: Naturopathy & Naturopathic Medicine are not the same, one is traditional, one is scientific)

Registered Doctor of Clinical Pastoral Care/Doctor of Integrative Pastoral Care -4000 Clock Hours/Doctor Level Degree Focused Education is more Religious & Spiritual Centered with at least 100 clock hours of Holistic Health, with a concentration in Pastoral Care,  Religious Counseling & Theology from a recognized Religious Institution

Registered/Certified Clinical Pastoral Medical Assistant(Clinical Missionary Medicine Assistant)-Must have either an Associates of Clinical Medical Assisting or Diploma from a legal institution or have completed minimum of 1000 hours of  combined clinical Medical & Nursing Assisting, Medical Office Administration, Phlebotomy, EKG, IV therapy, Natural Health & Nutrition & Spirituality & Health training under apprenticeship(Many of our Licensees have also qualified for the Secular Clinical Medical Assistant Certification through National Healthcareer Association. We work to help our Licensees to obtain this credential to further their careers).

 

Licensed

Doctor of Psychology in Pastoral Counseling-PsyD(PC)/Doctor of Pastoral Counseling/ Doctor of Pastoral Psychology- Doctorate Level In advanced pastoral psychology with clinical supervision. Please note: we do not agree that Christian Psychology adequately prepares a person to provide effective Counseling to a diverse audience. While Pastoral Psychology is faith based, one should have a general Pastoral Psychology or Pastoral Counseling Degree that does not contain "Christian" modification. If you have a Christian Psychology or  Counseling Degree, we will consider registering you as a Pastoral Therapist or you may take appropriate classes to upgrade your Education to obtain this certification.

This Licensure's Board Certification will be based on applicants training & Educational knowledge. Applicant may be Certified as a Clinical Integrative Pastoral Psychotherapist, Pastoral Clinical Family Therapists, Pastoral Crisis Counselor, Pastoral-Health Psychology, Youth Counseling etc... 


 Medical Chaplain for Doctors/Physician of Integrative Pastoral Medicine-this is an additional Certification that is specifically intended for those Pastoral Medicine Doctors/Phyicians, who are not licensed MDs or NMD's with hospital priviledges, who intend to visit their patients who may become hospitalized for the purposes of coordinating a holistic recovery or recommending an integrative healthcare approach during and after their stay in a Hospital setting and for those who offer alternative services to those who are terminal and placed in a hospice care in which conventional medicine is no longer an option for saving or maintaining life. This Certification gives Pastoral-Client Priveledges in a chaplain setting and removes the need to obtain Hospital Physician Visitation rights. All services rendered will be under the Pastoral Medical-Pastoral Care mandate. This empowers you to be able to offer equivelent quality care and support to your patient/clients as any other Primary Care Physician or Medical Specialist for those patients who rely only on Alternative Medicine Care!!

 

Licensed Master Interfaith Chaplain or Master Netzarim Chaplain- For Master Netzarim Chaplain, One must complete a Bachelors and Masters Level Training Course through Cushite Hebrew Yeshiva or an approved Legitimate Theological Institution that teaches the foundation to Orthodox Mizrahi Netzarim Culture and  Hebraic roots as the Core foundation. For Master Interfaith Chaplain one must graduate  with a Masters Level Training from either Cushite Hebrew Yeshiva or an Islamic, Buddhist, Hindoo, Jewish or other mainstream Theological Institution that teaches interfaith studies.

This is for those who feels called to perform Interfaith Chaplain services beyond ones traditional religious duties, serving multi-cultural & diverse religious & social groups. Chaplain services vary & may include but are not limited to:  Hospital-Hospice, Prison Ministry, Military Chaplain, Business Chaplain, Humanitarian or Disaster Relief, Homeland Security and other outreach and/or volunteer services. To qualify one must have at least a Masters Degree or Equivalent in Rabbinical Studies, Jewish Theology, Masters of Divinity, Masters of Pastoral Counseling with a minor Theology from a Legitimate recognized Religious or cultural Institution or Community. May be required to have Ecclesiastical Endorsement from Religious Body. Subjects studied must include Pastoral Counseling, Crisis Counseling, Bereavement Counseling, Interfaith Relations, Hospital, Prison & Hospice Ministry, Disaster Relief, Multi-cultural studies, Conflict Resolution, Theology etc...(please visit the Mizrahi Netzarim International Rabbinical Board in regards to this non-medical Chaplaincy for Jewish and gentile believers of the Jewish Faith(Judaism: Orthodox, Conservative, Reformed, Reconstruction, Netzarim and/or Mizrahi, Sephardi or Ashkenaz)i

 


Registered

 Registered Integrative-Health Educator(Pastoral) or Integrative-Public Health Educator(Pastoral) or Naturopathic Medical Educator(Pastoral): Health Educators are those who work in positions to educate the public about health, wellness, diet & nutrition. They also work in collaboration with institutions, NGOs and government organizations to create, plan and implement educational resources and policies that affect community health. Pastoral Health Educators work to reduce human suffering by creating programs & educational resources for humanitarian medicine, rural emergency medicine and disaster relief protocols and teach principles based on Edenic Law Concepts that promotes and integrative acceptable universal spiritual principles with Education, that is specific and unique to each culture or faith group that he/she seeks to serve. Must have at least a Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Health Education, Public Health, Health Sciences, Hospital Administration or related fields. Health Educators must have training that includes at least 30 hours of Education in the 7 Areas of responsibility as required and defined by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.

Commissioned Pastoral Natural Health(or Nutrition, Holistic) Educator & Registered Doctor of Integrative Pastoral Health(IHD-P): This registration is for those who are teachers & educators of traditional health & nutrition awareness. Those who have graduated from  legally operating  Schools(both inclass or Distant Learning) with at least a Bachelors or Doctorate Level Degree in Traditional Naturopathy or other Holistic health fields qualify for this credential. Correspondence prepares a student to be educators in Natural Health & Nutrition without clinical application. This Includes Doctorate Degrees in Natural Health fields that lacks graduate Health/medical or Undergraduate health/medical course work...

NOTE: Those who obtain at least 500 hours of Clinical Skills may upgrade to become a Registered Naturopathic(Integrative, Ayurvedic, Chinese etc) Health Consultant-Pastoral.  1000 Additional Hours Pastoral- Naturopathic Medical Consultant. To Upgrade to a Pastoral Medicine Doctor/Physicien must meet all of the requirements and take additional courses and clinical apprenticeship to meet those requirements.

Licensed Or Registered

 

 

 Clinical Integrative Mental Health Therapist(Pastoral)/ Clinical  Pastoral Mental Health Therapist/ Integrative Pastoral Medicine Therapist:: Must have a minimum of 2400 Hours/Master Degree of Natural Health Studies. Master Degree in Pastoral Counseling, Pastoral Psychology, Temperament Psychology, Health Psychology, Psychotherapy, Family Marriage Counseling or any other Behavioral Health Sciences.

Registered Clinical Pastoral Care Therapist-2400 Clock Hours/Master Level Degree Focused Education is more Religious & Spiritual Centered with at least 100 clock hours of Holistic Health, with a concentration in Pastoral Care,  Religious Counseling & Theology, but less education & concentration than the Licensed Pastoral Counselor, Clinical Mental Health  from a recognized Religious Institution

Licensed

 Integrative Pastoral Medical Therapist with a focus in specialty(Certified Professional Pastoral Midwife CPM-P, or Registered Pastoral Nurse- RN-P)- Midwives with a minimum of 3 years clinical training(please see NARM for requirements as we follow the same tract), Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses who have also taken 500-1000 hours of Natural Health Sciences & Pastoral Medicine/Care.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy who have incorporated a minimum of 500 hours of Natural Health Sciences & Evidence based Pastoral Medicine/Care. (Note: Registered Nurses with a BSN who take up 1000 hours of Pastoral Medicine & Natural Health may apply for the Pastoral Medicine Physician Assistant License). (CPM.P/Lic.MW.P, RN-P/P-RN, P-LPN, PPT-)

 

Licensed Hebrew Midwife: Those who have dedicated their lives to serving the Hebrew-Jewish Community & have met all qualifications, education, apprenticeship and training to include Jewish faith based education and 3 years minimum of Midwifery Training(Associates Degree or Diploma, or 4 year Bachelors of Hebrew Midwifery and Natural Health. Those who complete the 4 year Bachelors of Hebrew Midwifery and Natural Health(or equivelent) & then complete an additional 1 1/2 years of Naturopathic, Biological or Pastoral Family Medicine will be eligible to be Licensed to Practice Integrative Family Life Care®(Equivalent to primary healthcare) as Doctors of Hebrew Midwifery & Naturopathic Pastoral Medicine

Licensed/Registered* Integrative Pastoral Health Therapist/Pastoral Manual Therapist(PMT -Graduates with an Associate Degree or equivalent (i.e. Diploma or Certification). Massage Therapists, Asian Body Work, Accupressure

 

Graduates* of Theological schools with Bachelors Degree with a focus on religious based counseling or Pastoral Care. Chaplains.
Pastoral Manipulation Therapist

 

 

Commissioned

 Pastoral Health Consultant with focus in Natural Health- Entry Level Must have a Minimum of 500 Hours in Natural Health or have obtained a recognized Natural Health Consultant Diploma, Chinese Herbalism Diploma or other health related diploma.

Registered Diplomat of Integrative Pastoral Medicine(Dipl-IMD-P): A Prestigious Award for those who show outstanding and extra-ordinary knowledge, skills, work and dedication to promoting the Pastoral Medicine profession. Awarded to those who pledge to dedicate themselves to promoting and representing the Integrative Pastoral Medical Association and providing dynamic Missionary and Humanitarian Medical Work. Must have at least a Bachelors Level education in Health Field to qualify for this appointment....

 

Institutional Members- Those Educational Institutions, Colleges, Universities or Apprenticeship Programs that are recognized as offering quality evidence based Alternative Medicine, Humanitarian Medicine and Residency Training. Must be legally operating in the State or Country of Origin & authorized to issue Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates or Certifications.
